Eurospace: Europe’s space industry sales increased 23% in 2025, headcount just 2.2%; startups are 11% of work force

TUPPER LAKE, NY — Europe’s space industry booked 10.9 billion euros ($12.5 billion) in sales in 2025, an increase of 23% from 2024 as European governments ramped their spending, especially for military programs, according to industry association ASD-Eurospace.

The sales increase was accompanied by just a 2.2% increase in employment, to 68,139 full-time full-time employees, suggesting that at least some form of consolidation was under way and boosting productivity, Eurospace concluded.
