UK’s Ofcom wants the ITU to ease power limits imposed on LEO broadband constellations to protect GEO operations

Entering a dispute between GEO and non-GEO (NGSO) operators that flared at the 2023 World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC), Ofcom proposes that limited modifications of the current rules be approved at WRC-27, scheduled Oct. 18-Nov. 12 in Shanghai, and then be subject to a more extensive review at WRC-31.
