France 2030 fund surpasses $542M in space investments; latest round is for initial flights of 4 launcher startups

LA PLATA, Maryland — The French government selected four small launcher startups, three companies working on technologies for future satellite constellations and one in-orbit servicing mission in the latest funding round for the multibillion-euro France 2030 Covid recovery program.

France 2030, with a total funding of 54 million euros ($58.5 billion), has set aside some 1.5 billion euros for young space ventures. With the new round, it has spent 500 million euros in the space sector.
