TUPPER LAKE, NY — NATO wants to expand its use of commercial satcom by leasing capacity from pre-selected companies capable of providing Ka-, Ku-, X-, UHF-, EHF and other frequencies for future NATO requirements that cannot be met solely by the capacity NATO currently leases.
The Project 7 mission, managed by the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA), seeks to supplement what France, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States provide from their military satellites under the NATO Satcom Services 6th Generation program.
