ESA chief Woerner, sick of campaign of innuendo about him, says he won’t seek new term

PARIS — European Space Agency (ESA) Director-General Jan Woerner will not seek an extension of his term because he does not want to be subjected to the same campaign of “lies” that undermined his early months at ESA in 2015-2016.

In a Feb. 1 email sent to ESA employees, Woerner said he will let the agency’s council . . .
