TUPPER LAKE, NY— Spain will be investing up to $2.3 billion into a national secure satellite broadband constellation that will be integrated into Europe’s Iris2 multi-orbit network, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez announced July 29.
The investment, as part of Spain’sMulti-orbit Satcom Special Modernization Program, comes just days after Poland announced a similar program, budgeted at $749.5 million, that includes the provision of six satellites for Iris2’s medium-Earth-orbit layer and another six for the larger low-Earth-orbit shell . . .
