PARIS — Avio SpA booked charges of 2 million euros ($2.18 million) in the first six months of 2023 related to the December 2022 failure of its Vega-C rocket’s second stage and is likely to book a further charge after a June anomaly in testing of a redesigned second stage.
The resumption of the planned roll-out and ramp-up of Vega C, an improved version from the standard Vega, remains uncertain as an independent review commission set up after the June failure has not yet delivered its recommendations:
