Russia’s satellite communications companies debate the way forward under sanctions that affect all of them

PARIS — Russia’s satellite communications sector — fleet operators, hardware builders and ground service providers — met to take stock and plot strategy for an industry that has been laid low by the same Western sanctions that have hit the rest of Russia’s high-tech industry.

One idea: Consolidate the satellite sector into just a few entities to group orders and present a united sales front in those nations that continue to do business in Russia despite Western sanctions.
