Thaicom, struggling with Thaicom-4 retirement and Thaicom 9 delay, says Thaicom 10 won’t enter service until H1 2029

LA PLATA, Maryland — Satellite fleet operator Thaicom, already scrambling to relocate customers in advance of the Thaicom 4 later this year and production delays in its Astranis-built Thaicom 9, said its Airbus-built Thaicom 10 launch has slipped again, to late 2028, because of launch availability.

The satellite had been set for launch in 2027 aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. Its original launch date was late 2024, but has slipped as Airbus works through development issues of its new OneSat series of software-defined satellites. Thaicom 10 is one . . .
