Poland to use of $749M in EU recovery funds to build secure telecom sats to integrate into EU Iris2 constellation

UPDATE July 21: This story has been updated to reflect comment from the Polish Ministry of the Interior

Poland will use funds from the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility financing instrument. The Commission in 2025 determined that this facility could be used for security, defense and space-related investment.

Poland using the same funding source for its Camila constellation of four optical Earth imaging satellites, to be deployed for land management.
