LA PLATA, Maryland — The European Commission and the Polish government agreed to a formula in which Poland will invest 656 million euros ($749.5 million) to deploy 12 secure broadband satellites -- six in low Earth orbit, six in medium-Earth orbit -- and a gateway Earth station that will be interoperable with Europe’s future Iris2 multi-orbit network.
