OHB, with EU Galileo and German military satellite work, expects billion-euro revenue year

PARIS — Satellite and rocket-component builder OHB SE reported 18% top-line growth for 2017 but lower profit margins as it relied more on outside contractors and paid more to train new employees.

Highlights of the company’s results:

— Revenue was up 18%, to 860 million euros ($1.03 billion), as work progressed on the current Ariane 5 and future Ariane 6 rockets, as well as satellite programs for the European Commission and other government and commercial customers.
