Airbus, Thales Alenia Space join forces against Maxar for Canadian Telesat LEO bid

PARIS — Thales Alenia Space and Airbus Defence and Space have joined together in a single bid to build the multibillion-dollar Telesat LEO satellite broadband constellation, industry officials said.

The two European companies are competing against Maxar Technologies in what has become much longer than expected Telesat prime contractor selection process.
