YEESS association of 13 young European space companies: Our reliability is as good as the veteran players’

LA PLATA, Maryland — Europe’s YEESS association of 13 young space companies now counts more than 1,100 engineers had has secured investment of some 500 million euros ($558 million). Many of them have established offices outside Europe, especially the United States.

Calling them “startups” or “New Space” doesn’t capture the fact that these companies are well past the initial stages of living on grants and subsidies and are now competing for business like anyone else.

They would like European governments, especially the European Commission . . .
