LA PLATA, Maryland — The chief executives of T-Mobile and AT&T agreed that satellite direct to device (D2D) is a fill-in product for their terrestrial cellular networks and is unlikely to evolve into an MVNO-level service for them.

Whether direct to device (D2D) will even become a major revenue source is still unknown.
