ST Microelectronics: We’ve delivered 7.5 billion chips to Starlink since 2021; our LEO rev, now $600M/year, to be $3B in 2030

LA PLATA, Maryland — Chipmaker ST Microelectronics, seeing what it views as an exceptional opportunity, is aggressively moving to expand its customer base beyond SpaceX with the goal of generating $3 billion in space-based revenue between 2026 and 2028, mostly from LEO constellations.

A decade after starting work to provide integrated circuits for Starlink satellites, ground stations and user terminals, ST Micro said its LEO business has grown by an average 36% per year since 2021, from $175 million to about $600 million in 2025.
