OneWeb says lack of debt financing is not slowing it down; 1st 10 satellites launch in February

JAKARTA, Indonesia — The 900-satellite OneWeb global constellation of broadband satellites is broadly keeping to its schedule and has not been slowed by the lack of long-expected debt financing, OneWeb President Eric Belanger said.

Beranger, who did not confirm or deny industry estimates that OneWeb’s capital cost would reach $6 billion — up 20% from earlier estimates — said the company is also assuming it will have access to all the large national markets in the world.
