TUPPER LAKE, NY — Satellite fleet operator Telesat reiterated its intent to pursue negotiations with bondholders who have filed suit to force the company to reverse a 2025 transfer of funds from Telesat to its dedicated Telesat LEO subsidiary.
The dispute led bondholders holding $1.7 billion in Telesat debt coming due in December to file lawsuits in New York and Ontario courts alleging that Telesat’s funds transfer was an unlawful sacrifice of the GEO business and its creditors to preserve Telecast’s Lightspeed LEO constellation.
