Maritime satellite connectivity provider KVH starts engine IoT service, assesses GEE’s maritime asset sale

LOGAN, Utah — Maritime satellite connectivity hardware and service provider KVH Industries said it is accelerating its migration to high-throughput satellite (HTS) capacity based on incentives from satellite capacity provider Intelsat and the ramp up of KVH’s no-commitment AgilePlans.

KVH said the AgilePlans connectivity-as-a-service, introduced in mid-2017, remains on track to be cash-flow positive by the end of this year. AgilePlans is aimed at commercial shipping fleets and is not part of the company’s product mix for the leisure market.
