Hispasat owner Redeia: Amazonas Nexus satellite, 80% full with $600M in backlog, more than offsets loss of Brazilian contracts

TUPPER LAKE, NY — Satellite fleet operator Hispasat of Spain reported a 22% increase in revenue for the six months ending June 30 compared to a year ago, with most of the increase a result of the mid-2022 acquisition of satellite managed services provider Axess Networks.

Hispasat’s EBITDA was nonetheless down 13%, and its EBIT down 21.5%, with the scheduled expiration of video transmission contracts in Brazil.
