EchoStar’s Hughes-provided $2.4B in cash faces $2.9B in debt maturities this year following merger with Dish

LA PLATA, Maryland — EchoStar Corp.’s Hughes division reported a continuing sharp decline in satellite consumer broadband subscribers and said the company’s enterprise-broadband revenue would surpass the consumer business in 2024 for the first time.

Hughes reported 1 million consumer broadband subscribers as of Dec. 31, 2023, down 18.2% from a year ago and a 31.5% decline since the end of 2021.
