PARIS — Three of the four startup launch service providers competing in the European Launcher Challenge (ELC) managed by the European Space Agency (ESA) — PLD Space, Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA) and MaiaSpace provided updates on their development status.
The ELC mandates that each rocket conduct at least one successor orbital launch by 2027, and then demonstrate its path toward producing a larger version of its rocket.
