Avio: Q1 revenue, EBITDA up sharply on defense propulsion; coming Vega C, Ariane 6 flights to trigger booster production

LA PLATA, Maryland — Rocket hardware builder Avio SpA reported a 31.6% increase in revenue for the first three months of 2024 on the strength of continued high demand for tactical missile propulsion and said it’s preparing to ramp production of the solid-rocket stage used for the Vega-C light-lift and Ariane 6 heavy-lift launchers.

Vega C is scheduled to return to flight late this year pending two test firings of its redesigned Zefiro-40 second-stage engine, planned for late May and October. Ariane 6 is . . .
