Yahsat, Bayanat boards propose merger to create ‘AI-powered satcom, geospatial champion’ with $4B market cap

LA PLATA, Maryland — United Arab Emirates-based fixed and mobile satellite fleet operator Yahsat is merging with geospatial imagery and analytics provider Bayanat in a transaction that the companies said will “create an AI-powered technology champion with global reach” and a pro forma market capitalization of about $4 billion.

Both companies are traded on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX).
