Test of Starlink v OneWeb on challenging UK rail line at 54 deg N concludes with praise for both

LA PLATA, Maryland— A test of rail and road mobile satellite connectivity from OneWeb and Starlink at 54 degrees north latitude showed remarkably good performance by both LEO constellations over terrain that challenged both terrestrial wireless and Iridium narrowband satellite links, test organizers said.

GGI ran the tests on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway line, a steam-powered tourist line that features heavily wooded areas that would rarely be found on a commercial route.
