WASHINGTON — Startup satellite prime contractor Swissto12’s sixth contract, with Japan’s Space Compass for an optical data-relay satellite in geostationary orbit, follows the contract with Asia’s Astrum Mobile contract for a one-way direct-to-device video broadcast business and illustrates the breadth of mission sets for Swissto12’s HummingSat platform.
The orders follow existing contracts with SES for the Intelsat 45 satellite, to be delivered in 2027; and the three Inmarsat 8 satellites on order from Viasat Inc., to launch together in a stacked configuration . . .
