Rocket Lab: 15 launches this year and rising prices will reduce launch losses. Profit resides in satellite hardware division

PARIS — Launch service and satellite hardware provider Rocket Lab USA Inc. has continued to lose money in its Launch Services business in recent months, but the losses were more than offset by the fast-growing Space Systems satellite hardware division.

The company said it remained confident that as its increases its launch rate in 2023 and 2024 — especially as it wins contracts that were previously assigned to still-not-operational small rockets — it will be able to increase prices and achieve profitability.
