EU Defence & Space Commissioner: We propose that space account for 50% of total defense/space spending 2028-34

PARIS — European Defence and Space (DG-Defis) Commissioner Andrius Kubilius said the Commission wants to allocate one-half of its proposed seven-year military and space budget of 131 billion euros ($152.3 billion) to space programs.

The Commission’s proposed seven-year Multi-Annual Financial Framework (MFF) budget, from 2028 to 2034, is still being debated by the European Parliament and the European Council, representing heads of state of the 27-nation EU.
