PARIS — Satellite builder Loft Orbital and UAE-based Marlan Space announced a billion-dollar investment by Royal Group of Abu Dhabi into a 50-satellite constellation using AI to deliver optical and radar imaging products to Europe and the United Arab Emirates.
In a Sept. 9 announcement here timed for the International Space Summit organized by French President Emmanuel Macron, Loft and Marlan said their OrbitWorks joint venture in Abu Dhabi would be building the satellites using a mainly European supply chain and AI technology . . .
