LA PLATA, Maryland — Kratos Defense and Security Solutions’ OpenSpace software-defined ground system, which has been waiting for more than two years for customers’ software-defined satellites to deploy, has begun to see traction as these satellites near launch.
In a Feb. 23 investor call, Kratos Chief Executive Eric M. DeMarco said the company has recently completed factory acceptance testing of Kratos’s Epic command and control software with Airbus Defence and Space’s OneSat software-defined satellite product.
