Amazon Leo to FCC: SpaceX allegations about our orbit-insertion altitude safety are disingenuous, but we’ll address them anyway

LA PLATA, Maryland — Amazon Leo on rejected SpaceX Starlink’s claims that Amazon’s choice of a 450-km altitude to insert its satellites after the Feb. 12 launch on the Arianespace Ariane 6 vehicle was a surprise to SpaceX and a violation of Amazon’s commitments to the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

In an April 2 letter responding to SpaceX’s April 1 FCC submission, Amazon Leo said SpaceX’s could not have been surprised by the drop-off altitude  Amazon Leo used . . .
