TAIPEI— Satellite fleet operator Telesat reported continuing sharp declines in its geostationary-orbit satellite business and said the company remains on track to launch the first LEO-orbit Lightspeed broadband satellites in late 2026, with global commercial service in 2027.
Telesat is not investing in its GEO fleet but the business continues to produce cash, with a 62% EBITDA margin for the three months ending Sept. 30, compared to a 46% margin for the full company.
The company had 483 million Canadian dollars ($347 million) in cash . . .
