Tracker Capital buys majority stake in startup smallsat electric propulsion provider Accion Systems at $83.5M valuation

PARIS — Startup small-satellite electric propulsion unit manufacturer Accion Systems closed a $42-million Series C financing round that ended with lead investor Tracker Capital Management LLC taking a majority stake in the company.

The new funding brings to $68.5 million the amount Boston-based Accion has raised in several rounds since 2015 but has given the company a valuation of $83.5 million, Accion said.

Previous investors have included Boeing HorizonX, Shasta Ventures, Gettylab, RRE Ventures . . .
