Telesat: LEO gives more user bandwidth than GEO HTS

 Telesat's planned LEO Ka-band constellation features satellites in two separate orbits and is designed to be operational in 2021. Two prototype satellites are scheduled for launch this year. Telesat has filed patents for the system's design, which the company says can deliver more bandwidth to a given customer than even next-generation GEO HTS satellites.
