Space Norway to purchase Telenor Satellite; combined entity had $182M in pro forma 2022 revenue, 49% EBITDA margin

LA PLATA, Maryland — When satellite industry officials speak of a likely — or at least, hoped-for — constellation among fleet operators, the transfer of satellites from one Norwegian state-owned company to another is not top of mind.

But Telenor’s agreement to sell its Telenor Satellite subsidiary to Space Norway is a consolidation nonetheless.

Pending approval of the Norwegian parliament, Space Norway is buying Telenor Satellite, with three fully owned, and one partly owned, satellites in orbit, for 2.36 billion Norwegian kroner ($217 million) with a promise from Telenor that it will continue . . .
