Avio’s tactical propulsion is company’s showcase business while Vega-C, Ariane 6 await launches

LA PLATA, Maryland — Launch vehicle hardware manufacturer Avio SpA’s decision to add tactical missile propulsion to its portfolio is paying off handsomely as the company reports continued growth in revenue and order backlog.

The tactical propulsion division’s growth stands in contrast to the company’s principal business, which continues to rely on government development contracts in the absence of launches of the Avio-led Vega-C rocket and the ArianeGroup-led heavy-lift Ariane 6.
