Saudi Arabia purchases multiple Gbps of OneWeb capacity over 7 years for $170M & creates OneWeb R&D JV

DUBAI — Startup global satellite broadband provider OneWeb and Saudi Arabia have concluded a seven-year agreement under which Saudi authorities will purchase around 10 Gbps of OneWeb capacity per year over seven years for $170 million.

Saudi Arabia’s Neom Tech & Digital Holding Co., a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s showcase new Neom modern city on the Red Sea being developed to support 1 million people, will also invest $30 million in a joint venture with OneWeb.
