WASHINGTON — Satellite laser communications terminal (LCT) provider Tesat Spacecom of Germany is contracted to provide 792 LCTs to MDA Space for Telesat’s Lightspeed broadband constellation and is also Kepler Communications’ preferred suppler for Kepler Communications' data-transfer network.
Tesat is expanding its reach to medium Earth orbit following a contract with Lockheed Martin to test LCTs on the GPS 3 positioning, navigation and timing satellites.
