LA PLATA, Maryland — Space launch and defense propulsion manufacturer Avio SpA reported double-digit increases in 2025 revenue, EBITDA and backlog as both the Avio-built Vega C rocket and Europe’s heavy-lift Ariane 6 vehicle began to hit their stride.
Defense propulsion, buoyed by the war in Ukraine and Europe’s munitions buildup and Avio’s new business in the United States, accounted for nearly a third of Avio’s backlog as of Dec. 31, 2025. The division booked 250 million euros in new orders in 2025 . . .
