OHB to build 4 MEO-orbit data-relay satellites for SpaceLink; ATP first; full $340M contract awaits financing

PARIS — OHB SE of Germany will build four medium-Earth-orbit optical relay satellites for Australia’s Electro Optic Systems Holdings Ltd. (EOS) under a $340 million contract that will enter into force once EOS and its U.S. subsidiary, SpaceLink Corp., secure requisite financing.

The two companies said Oct. 13 that they expect to sign an Authorization to Proceed (ATP) within a week. That will finance work at OHB on certain SpaceLink technologies.
