French startup Skynopy raises $17.5M to enter crowded ground-station-as-service market; focus on geospatial imaging

LA PLATA, Maryland — French ground-station-as-a-service startup Skynopy, which is building out a network of S-, X- and Ka-band Earth stations to service geospatial-imaging satellite constellations in low Earth orbit, has raised 15 million euros ($17.5 million) from investors including Alven Capital Partners, Expansion, Omnes, the French space agency CNES’s SpaceFounders and existing investor Heartcore.

It took less than one month to raise the funding, Skynopy said.
