Viasat President: If necessary, repurposing Viasat-3 EMEA for the Americas would be easy for us

TUPPER LAKE, NY — Viasat Inc.’s Aug. 9 investor call on its Q1 2024 financial results predictably focused on the defective deployment of an 18-meter-diameter mesh reflector antenna on the Viasat-3 Americas satellite in geostationary orbit.

Viasat-3 Americas was launched May 1.

On May 30, Viasat’s acquisition of Inmarsat took effect.
