Viasat outlines commitments to UK government on scope of UK presence after Inmarsat purchase

PARIS — Viasat Inc. has submitted to the UK government a detailed list of commitments to maintaining a strong presence in Britain following its purchase of London-based mobile satellite services provider Inmarsat.

The commitments to the UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), include timetables on new investment and job creation, use of the UK industrial supply chain and the maintenance of the Inmarsat brand, especially in the maritime market, Inmarsat and Viasat announced March 21.
