Turkish Aerospace pivots to small-GEO satellite market with all-electric, software-defined product; Arsat is 1st customer

JAKARTA — Turkish Aerospace, whose first fully home-grown telecommunications satellite, Turksat 6A, is scheduled for launch in July with SpaceX, is pivoting to a small-GEO product line featuring all-electric propulsion and a software-defined payload.

Ankara-based Turkish Aerospace, which has invested heavily in a large satellite assembly, integration and test facility in Ankara and a campus covering 4 million square meters, has concluded that the move toward satellite constellations and the decline of the traditional GEO-orbit market called for a change in strategy . . .
