Spaceflight/Thales Alenia Space-backed LeoStella starts BlackSky satellite production

TUKWILA, Washington — Spaceflight Industries’ BlackSky constellation of 1-meter-resolution Earth observation satellites expects to generate revenue this spring from its first two satellites, with two more set for launch this spring, BlackSky Chief Executive Brian O’Toole said.

By this summer, BlackSky expects to take delivery of the first satellites coming off the production line of LeoStella, which is based here and is a joint venture between Spaceflight Industries and Thales Alenia Space of France and Italy.
