PARIS — OneWeb Executive Chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal said OneWeb’s network of Ku-band satellites in low Earth orbit is set on providing positioning, navigation and timing services in addition to its main broadband-access mission, starting with a timing service on OneWeb’s first generation.
OneWeb’s second-generation satellites, he said, will be equipped with a payload needed to add a positioning and navigation capability.
