On eve of capital raise, Sky and Space Global explains GomSpace, Virgin Orbit deals to Australian regulator

PARIS — Startup satellite IoT and messaging constellation startup Sky and Space Global (SAS) defended its accounting treatment of contract obligations to satellite builder GomSpace and launch-service provider Virgin Orbit on the eve of a key shareholder vote on a financial lifeline.

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) had questioned the release of SAS’s prospectus to shareholders because it omitted to include an “adverse opinion” issued by the company’s auditors, KPMG, included in the company’s annual financial report for . . .
