Just before Chapter 11, OneWeb was nearing financial-lifeline deals in China, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan

PARIS — OneWeb Global Ltd. had been preparing joint-venture companies in China, Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan in the weeks before its March 27 Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing as the company sought a financial lifeline, according to documents filed as part of the procedure.

OneWeb has said that up until the latter half of March it had held out the hope that its principal sponsor, SoftBank Group of Japan, would agree to recapitalize the company to head off a bankruptcy.
