Jim Simpson out as CEO of satellite fleet operator ABS just 7 months after arriving

PARIS — Jim Simpson, chief executive of satellite fleet operator ABS, is leaving his job just seven months after arriving, effective immediately, industry officials said.

ABS Chairman Jim Frownfelter will assume the chief executive position, although whether this is in an acting or a more-permanent capacity is unclear. Bermuda- and Hong Kong-based ABS did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Simpson did not respond to a request for comment.
