Intelsat to 149-nation ITSO: We’re not paying you to tour Davos

PARIS — Intelsat has rejected a demand from its international oversight organization that Intelsat’s bankruptcy court allow an ongoing arbitration over payment to continue instead of being put on the pile of unsecured debt to be dealt with in the Chapter 11 process.

Intelsat is threatening to reject, wholesale, any obligation to the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization (ITSO) during Chapter 11 if ITSO does not accept a lower annual payment from Intelsat.
