Intelsat reports 7.9% drop in pro forma Q2 revenue; in-flight connectivity business up 14% from Q1 on U.S. recovery

CUNCY-LES-VARZY, France — Satellite fleet operator Intelsat reported continued erosion of its media-distribution business in the three months ending June 30, citing reduced revenue from media customers from contract non-renewals and renewals at lower prices.

Intelsat, which has been in Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring since May 2020, said total revenue of $507.9 million for Q2 is a 5% increase when its Commercial Aviation business, purchased from Gogo Inc. in December, is included into the mix.
